They Come and go

Welcome,

Today i have thought or for the last two weeks, about friends. I have had 2 friends since highschool, we have had so many good times, but as time went on we all grew apart from eachother. Heck, they don't even talk to eachother.

This doesn't mean that they are neccisarly bad people , just means we all have changed, and grew into the adults we are today. I may not neccisarly agree with what they beleive in or value, but enough to respect that.

In the past I have always tried to put things past me, because i felt my friendship with them was so important. I trusted them like brothers. Have I been betrayed? Yes, by both. Have I done the same? Knowingly ...no. Are they victims of the same possible problem? maybe.

I want to be close with them, but have been pushed off, or lied too. I relized maybe I need to just roll the dice and see where my cards lay? If they were meant to be there forever, they will be. If it's there time, just let it be.

My mom once told me 'friends don't last forever, Family does". I agree with that totally(mostly).

Bottom line is we have grown up so much, changed, and created friction. So instead of me swallowing my pride, I need to be me, and just me. If that is not good enough for someone, or it's to hard. Than they need to walk away.

My name is Adrian Abeyta, I am a proud liberal, and an ever learning Catholic. Go Figure!

A Hot, Hard Summer...

Hello,

My last post was about how July was turning into hell for me. I really meant that in every way too. I believe the only good thing that has come out of this month was my holiday pay for the 4th of July...yay... In all reality it did help out a lot! Things have been tough for the Abeyta family this month. We lost our food assistance this month due to an error on part of Adams County, in the end we had to re apply. Still waiting notice, if we got it or not. I never thought we would end up at a food shelter, part of me on the inside feels failure. I think its a father thing, when you know that without the goodwill of others, you would be in a deeper hole.

Still, I go to work, doing the best I can. I will not give up and go without a job, I can not imagine not having an income to support the people that mean the most in my life. I hope to one day go to college, I would like to pursue NCM (Network communications management). This enable me to learn more about wireless comm systems as well as wired services including servers and such.

Until than I have to continue my journey towards a better life, the American dream.

July: The Month Of Hell..

My whole life has never been a trip down candy road to say the least. I have never let that get to me, because I just find that is a part of life. Sometimes you are never handed the easy hand, and for alot of people that is just life!

This month for me has been rough, i have been really struggling with finances and stress hardcore. Needless to say, I am at the end of my ropes. I have little food in the house, asking help from everyone, my job still will not give me full time, and has still kept my cut from what it was 5 months ago.

I guess I can only hope that, I will be back to the pay i was at, or a new job.

I wish, just wish things would get better!

P.S. my cable got shut off this morning, aint that a *&^$!

Health Care Reform

Health care reform is something that I feel very strong about. The presidents idea about every american should not be without health insurance makes sense. I for a period of almost 2 years was not covered under any health insurance and neither were my kids and wife.

The health insurance my job offers was to expensive for my budget. If I decided to pay into it, I wouldn't have anywhere to live. I couldn't afford rent and health insurance. This seems to be the case for many low middles class Americans and especially poverty America too. It is a sad fact living in the most powerful country in the world, and we can not even over health care to every American!

The Plan would let americans buy into the government health system, americans would pay nothing or little, depending on income.

Health insurance companies are complaining, saying this would drive them out of buisness. This , However, does not make sense. The health insurance companies should have nothing to worry about if they are offering competitive and strong services to the public. Maybe the new pressure of the government health care system will force the health industry to rethink the whole idea of " Pre Existing Condition" policy.

Many die from these horrible policies. Preventitive care has been proven to make people live longer and healthier!

I just hope this bill gets to the presidents desk. The right wing radicals and the health care insurance industry will stop at nothing and say anything to kill this bill.\

Until next time,

Good night, and Good Luck!
